Employers Can Discriminate Using Your Address

Have you ever considered applying for a position more than 50 miles away from home? If you have think about leaving your address off of your resume.  I recently witnessed an employer tell a job seeker, “Your live quite a drive away. You don’t mind the commute?”    I am pretty confident that this employer is not the only party guilty of assessing a candidate’s viability based on their  residence.   Some might deem you undesirable and draw a range of conclusions about you based on your zip code.  Also, nowadays it may be a matter  of  safety to avoid using your full address when posting your  resume online.   Consider leveling the playing field in your favor by just listing your name, phone and email address on your resume.
