Most people dont update their resume until they need it, which by then is too late. My recommendation: update your resume quarterly or immediately after you’ve completed a new project, acquired a new skill or secured a new position. Periodically reviewing your resume is helpful in assessing your progress and the accomplishments that you’ve made within your currently role. Your resume should reflect your professional achievments and accomplishments at this very moment, not what you’ve done one year ago. Waiting until you NEED your resume is too late to begin working on this document. Be sure to include a periodic resume review on your list of things to do. Take a look at your document today and if needed make the necessary changes.
