With all the technological advances we’ve diminished our level of human contact. For some of us that’s a good thing for others it’s not. When you are building your brand it is insufficient to do so only in cyberspace. It is imperative that you meet people. In fact siezing opportunities to interface with human beings is a great way to distinguish yourself from the competition many of who stuck behind their PC’s or smart phones. Meeting your colleagues, class mates and associates at various functions and events is a great way to develop relationships while marketing and promoting your personal brand. Interfacing with human beings is how you become real and much more than content in a resume or a profile in database. Commit to attending at least one networking function or social gathering each month. Build your relationships before you need them, and one of the best ways to do that is to actually go out and meet people.
